Returning with the Prayer Flags. Solo Show. PS: Space, Athens. 2021
This was an evolution from SKIN, BONES + flesh. I felt that this evolved from my experience of covid and screen time causing a separation rather than unity. The Tibetan prayer flag felt more representative of the one body which is what I am trying to create in the exhibition space. That paintings can be a tool for bringing people back into their bodies and to feel connection. I would like to hang these prayer flags across Skyscrapers in New York, London or other cities to be a living memory of our past and those who have stood in the message of peace, love and connection. The point of this project is that these flags can hang in different places across the world creating global dialogue of people on a community level ( who I stencil) and who can track where their portrait is hanging in the world via instagram.
In November 2021, I returned after my time on Poros Island and this was the final exhibition of my work from my residency at PS: . I performed music with my band GROUNDless at this exhibition to bring people into a new experience of viewing the work.

"Together at last". 212cmx120cm. Acrylic On Canvas. Poros, Greece, 2021
Participate in a world-wide collective bodyscape in the form of prayer flags! Participants (and up to 5 members of their family and friends) will make partial tracings of their bodies (ie. hands, heads, outlines of hips, etc.) onto a canvas from the comfort of their home which Norah will then form into paintings. Your prayer flag will then be combined with others from Norah's travels around the world and she will hang the flags between buildings similar to Tibetan flags. “They reflect a thread of prayer and unity to celebrate the human body across borders. It is a message of love, peace and local community.”
